This article describes a new process for a synthetic ethyl lactate , namely the use of catalytic distillation technology , lactic acid and ethanol as raw material , strongly acidic ion exchange resin for the catalytic synthesis of ethyl lactate , the catalytic distillation technology in lactic acid B ester is a new attempt , its research is of great significance to promote the the ethyl lactate industrial development in China . This paper discusses a strongly acidic ion exchange resin as a catalyst for the reaction kinetics of the synthesis of ethyl lactate . Through the analysis of the experimental results , the following conclusions: the esterification reaction for the two reactions , the hydrolysis reaction is zero order reaction kinetics model : where , and found that the presence of the induction period at low temperatures , this reaction . In this paper, designed and installed height of 1100mm, a diameter of 40mm catalytic distillation column , θ ring network filler loading catalyst NKC-9 constitutes the reaction section examines the reflux ratio , feed location, feed flow rate than alkyd parameters such as catalytic distillation process to obtain the optimum reaction conditions : reflux ratio is 1:1, and the location of the feed into the reaction zone at the top of the bottom of the acid reaction segment into alcohol the lactate feed flow to 0.6482mol / h , alcohol acid ratio of 4:1 . On the basis of the experimental results , the kinetic model based on equilibrium stage model with the ASPEN software simulation of a catalytic distillation column , the tower temperature distribution and tower bottom , the top simulation results with experimental results agree than the simulation results are reliable . The industrial production of ethyl lactate synthesis for catalytic distillation process has certain guiding significance . The results show that the catalytic distillation technology used in the synthesis of ethyl lactate can increase the yield of the product , the reaction process of the environmental pollution , no corrosion of equipment , the product ethyl lactate and a \a green technology , there are good prospects for the industry .
