Abstract


Microwave switches are the basic components of the microwave control circuits , it has a wide range of applications in radar, electronic warfare , microwave communications , satellite communications , and microwave measurements , and high-power microwave switches are key components in various radar systems , it indicators largely determines the performance of the entire system . In this paper, the simplex method and optimization of the the stripline PIN diode switch carried out experimental studies of the PIN diode switch . PIN diode switch Fair wideband method is generally the combination of PIN diodes to the intake stub filter as part of the filter so that when the PIN diode in the reverse bias , and the band broadening switch is in the transmission state ; When diode positive to the bias of the time , the filter structure is destroyed, and to play a role in isolation . Package parasitic parameters of the PIN diode switch performance impact of parasitic parameters must be tuned . With optimization algorithm , the use of the stub of the filter to achieve the tuning of the parameters of the PIN diode parasitic stub played a dual role , but also to overcome the general tuning element should not be installed , so that the circuit structure becomes complex disadvantages . PIN diodes at high power levels the temperature increases, the level of its working temperature , a great impact on the life of the switch . Accurate estimates of the temperature rise of the PIN diode , can play a good role in guiding the design of the switch , to avoid switching high power quickly damaged , affecting the normal work . This paper summarizes the PIN diode switch thermal design and life estimation method , writing software for the thermal design of the switch , life design and optimization design together . This way developed a stripline single-pole, single- throw switch , and experimental study achieved good experimental results .
