Abstract


It’s still an urgent unsolved problem that how to estimate the technical situation and the remained life of the old crane, how to judge the future using possibility and confirm the using level in the TaiJi group Chongqing Tong Jun Ge pharmaceutical factory. The crane’s remained life is determined by the fatigue life of its metal structure. Fatigue strength theory and fracture mechanics theory are the effective methods to estimate the fatigue life of crane’s metal structure. And the minlife method can be used to deduct the crane’s remained life. The database technique has been widely used in such aspects as mater in database, the design of mechanical element and the device management. However, it has seldom been found using in evaluating fatigue life of metal structure, which is the focus this paper aims at.Firstly, a general method and construction of the software of the system has been put out by analyzing the requirements and functions of the metal structure fatigue life estimation system, and also discussed the functions in detail, status and contents of the database in this system. It expatiates the design and implementing of the database from three aspects: database structure, database I/O and database application program.The design of the database system can be done by the following steps according to the normalization requirement: plan,requirements analysis, conceptual structure design, logical structure design, database physical design, database actualization and database running and maintenance. The data and the function requirements for this database system are deducted firstly by the analyzing of the data flow fig and the compiling of the data dictionary. Then, the local E-R fig and the whole E-R fig are obtained by concept structure design. The database physical design is finally completed by SQL Server 2000 and the whole structure of the database is built.Database client technique is a bridge between database and applied program. The selecting of a right and suitable database client technique is the precondition to develop an applied program. Therefore, a few database client techniques on the Microsoft company windows flat are briefly compared at the beginning. The paper emphasizes on the introduction of the object model of ADO technique and the program method under VC++ condition.For the convenience of database management, this system has specially designed an applied program for the database management. The paper has particularly discussed thedesign and development of the applied program, including database management functions, the contents of database management and the mutual interface between person and computer.It is proved by the practical use that this database system has such virtues as reasonable structure sufficient data supplying ,powerful function and friendly PC interface ,etc.
