Abstract

With the new round of curriculum reform, Nan'an District, Chongqing (hereinafter referred to our region) as the third national experimental zone in September 2003 began implementation of a national English curriculum standards (trial version) (This article referred to the new the spirit of the \In this study, our region to carry out a comprehensive survey of seventh grade students learning English, under the new curriculum standards requirements to carry out the training and day-to-day teaching of learning strategies combine training on the basis of the investigation. This study through a questionnaire survey districts and four represent the meaning compulsory secondary education seventh grade students in the use of English learning strategies, designed to seventh grade English learning strategies, learning strategies as well as experimenting with new materials and reform of foreign language teaching an important basis and inspiration. The questionnaire was based on text Akiyoshido of English learning strategy system consists of three parts: individual learning background; concept of learning English; seventh grade English Learning Strategies Questionnaire (two, five goals). Findings with the SPSS statistical software, the result is as follows: 1. Seventh grade students to learn English background is quite complex, uneven ability to learn English, it is not suited to the seventh grade English learning. Should pay more attention to the way students learn, learning strategies is very important. 2. Learning Beliefs survey results show that most of the seventh graders is still very dependent on teachers' classroom teaching, not good at self-management. Therefore, beginning to establish the concept of seventh grade students to learn English, and gradually develop their self-learning ability. The new curriculum standards requirements under two the five goals Learning Strategies is the focus of the investigation. Learning Strategies survey, seventh grade students learning strategies rather limited capacity, English Learning Strategies capacity is generally low. To re-stimulate students' interest in learning English, develop basic learning habits, improve awareness of strategies and tactics ability to use. 4 excellent students and students with learning difficulties Learning Strategies of Comparative Analysis: This study was supported in part verify some of the arguments of the experts: that the majority of excellent students to learn the strategy use master (text Akiyoshido, of, 1998). Its purpose is to promote effective learning strategies excellent students, form mutual aid learning atmosphere, to help the students of a large area to form an effective learning strategy. Based on the above findings, the study carried out in the seventh grade students of English Learning Strategies centralized, decentralized and individual training, especially learning strategies and day-to-day teaching combined studies, proving a few of the following experience: 1. Improve teachers and students Student strategic awareness is the key to learning strategy training. Seventh grade students learning strategies training rely mainly on learning a combination of knowledge of English, which is the training an important measure of students' English learning strategies, received good results. 2 Strategy Training of English students must teachers and students to participate, teachers strengthen strategic awareness and strategic capabilities, careful preparation and timely teaching reflection. Students should strengthen cooperation and through group exchanges form, learn from others and often reflect on the strategies used and in a timely manner with the teacher, in order to achieve the mutual promotion of teaching and learning. Through a semester of seventh grade students' English learning strategies, teachers and students to reach a consensus: learning strategy training first will allow learners to understand the purpose of their own learning, manage their own learning process, so as to improve their academic performance, to contribute to the progressive formation of the self-learning ability, and lay a good foundation for further learning English. In this study, there are still many inadequacies, such as: the sample size is not large enough, a single analytical tools used in the acquisition of data, the relevant experimental data and training methods have yet to be further validation and refinement.
