Abstract

As an important part of the market economic system, the social security system in safeguarding citizens basic survival interests, narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, and accelerated urbanization, increasingly play an irreplaceable role. Western developed countries, the social security system has gone through a hundred years of history, which are both successful experience and the lessons of failure. At present, China is in a period of accelerated development of industrialization and urbanization, the social contradictions in Western countries have occurred at this stage, is very prominent in our performance.
