Abstract


VM (Virtual Machine, VM) is a relative we usually in terms of the actual computer used in a concept, it is actually a computer simulation of a hypothetical software to work with real computer , the virtual machine has its own central processor , instruction set, memory organization , registers, stack , input and output , etc., can accept a command instruction to complete computing or data processing tasks. One advantage of the virtual machine is a computer program can be between different operating systems reuse, namely to achieve the program 's cross-platform , Java Virtual Machine Design thinking is reflected this characteristic. In this paper, the Java virtual machine technology as the main object of study, more in-depth analysis and study of some of its key technologies, and using C / C design and implementation of a Windows-based platform for small virtual machine software system TVM (Tiny Virtual Machine), mainly to do the following work : First, to understand the basic operation of the Java virtual machine environment, such as the PC register , JAVA stack, heap and frameworks , Youyi Kaffe ( a Java virtual machine implementation ) , for example, the Java virtual machine running analysis. Second, studies of the Java virtual machine's memory management mechanisms , such as garbage collection techniques , and its memory leaks and performance issues discussed. TVM virtual machine and then analyze the working process and gives the overall design ideas, then realize TVM virtual machines , including virtual CPU, memory organization and instruction system design and implementation . Finally TVM design and implement a virtual machine assembler TA, and the entire TVM virtual machine system testing and validation , but also compared with the JAVA virtual machine .
