With the accumulation of growth of the network information resources , search engines become the primary tool of the people get massive network information , the key elements of network research and application . Diversified development of Internet information , topic search engine is in a very active stage . Some Chinese web theme information access and retrieval technology research , design and implementation of a theme -based meta-search engine information collected meteorological topics as the core search engine system . This paper first introduces the development of general-purpose search engines , the status quo , classification , working principle , an overview on the background and topic search engine work , leads to the design of the system , the subject for professional background in meteorology , use. NET and SQL Server 2000 database technology , based on the theme of the meta-search engine intelligent information retrieval system at the same time , given the concrete implementation of the framework , to build a weather topic search engine system . Focuses on the system function module and its implementation of key technologies such as meta-search engine interface technology, fusion , filtering, sorting technology . The system for the field of meteorology , fully included and timely updates of weather information and knowledge , to avoid the powerful search noise , and improve the retrieval efficiency and precision , can be fast , full , quasi provide meteorological feature information query . Meteorological professional users in the web network effectively retrieve the desired information to provide a better solution . Currently , the system has been able experimental run and to good effect , to achieve the expected learning and practice purpose , laid the foundation for the further research topic search engine technology and the development of a topic search engine system .
