The explosive growth of the Internet network , a large number of widely used real - time multimedia services , the situation is even more serious and complex network congestion . Congestion control algorithm research has increasingly become a hot network research . This paper discusses the fairness of TCP slow start and active queue management congestion control algorithm evolution and Research based on further study , the main work of the thesis is as follows : a detailed analysis from the two levels of the TCP source IP network layer the current network congestion control strategy . NS2 network simulation extensions in order to achieve a new active queue management algorithm BLUE , for example , to add a new protocol set forth in NS2 , the new algorithm . Phased based on bandwidth measurement for TCP congestion control to slow start large range of algorithms exist sending rate changes , the problem of poor network performance analysis related slow start to improve the algorithm and its limitations , the proposed end-to-end network bandwidth measurement method to achieve a smooth slow start improved algorithm , the flexible the slow startup parameter model and adaptive parameter settings . The simulation results show that the network transmission performance has been significantly improved . The BLUE algorithm for transmission between the stream and the stream fairness problem , combined with the Bloom filter query algorithm of Bloom Filter , and a way of strengthening the queue fairness improved algorithm . The algorithm only use a very small amount of status bits and a small cache space will be able to better identify the non- response stream and limit its rate to protect TCP flows from non- response flow affect traffic transmission fairness . Finally done research work are summarized and elaborated further study the idea of a congestion control algorithm .
