Abstract


With the rapid development of DHT networks, the emergence of BitTorrent protocol brings about a change of file sharing and downloading means. The scale of users and the number of files of DHT network was explosive growth in recent year, the huge number of its users has produced a great effect to the Internet. DHT network brings convenience, while brings many problems such as copyright protection which intrigue the research enthusiasm of home and abroad scholars on the DHT network The research on the DHT network has focused on theoretical analysis, measurement and performance improvement and safety research. This paper focuses on DHT network measurement area.DHT network measurement content consists of topology, protocol, behavior and other aspects. Measurement method includes active measurement and passive measurement. Active measurement method uses reptile, which actively, approach to relevant network characteristics and node information in DHT network, Passive Measurement deploys a certain number of measurement nodes in generally different locations in the network, which can record the network with not affect the network. This paper mainly design DHT measurement system combining active measurement with passive record, which collect information of the DHT network nodes and analyzed their statistical properties.Firstly this paper introduces the background technology and analyze research status, then analyzed active and passive measurement method and focus on three measurement strategies in the active measurement. On this basis, DHT measurement system was designed and implemented, then we do experiments and compare the three measurement strategies. Finally select the random measurement strategy and modify it in order to achieve the best measurement results.This paper used the DHT measurement system of this article for more than a month-long measurement on above BitTorrent 4.1.0 DHT network. This paper has obtained a number of important features of DHT network node acts through experimental results analysis including the distribution of the node ID, the correspondence of node ID and the IP, the distribution of node distance, the node response time, the liveness of node, success rate of node release peer, which provide a basic support for protocol design and optimization, network simulation, security management and so on.
