Abstract


With the development and progress of the society, workload of adult education management in higher school is also increasing. The provision of information management work is the trend of The Times. With advanced computer technology and communication technology, it not only embodies the management information resources in higher schools, but also the level of competition ability of adult higher education, and it will be the inevitable trend of the management system reform.Starting with practice in the work of adult education in WeiFang University, this project has established the system function model, cases and Workflow Diagram which applied with the software engineering thinking on the basic of analyzing the adult higher education in the management process, management requirements and goals. Using J2EE technology, this design has developed the adult education management information system based on J2EE. The main architecture of this System applies Struts framework which is based on J2EE Application Server platform. The use of Struts framework provides Java Web application with three-layer MVC organizational structure, and it enhances the system expandability as well. In addition, the architecture has a detailed description of the system module design and database design; moreover, it has given the presentation layer, function, data layer and the main function of the module. The operating system of the system has adopted the Windows Server 2003 operating system, and the applied Web application server is BEA Company’s Weblogic server 8.1, the server development tools and modeling tools and modeling tools is Borland JBuilderx and Rational Rose, and the back-end database management software is SQL Server 2003. This tools provides the technical support in realizing adult education management information system.This subject has completed the system design and development of the main modules. To achieve the information management, it has formed the comprehensive integration management mode from the status, registration, arrangement, selection, test, scores, teaching evaluation to materials, the system covers every function modules of adult higher education management, and the supporting of the wide-area networks can greatly reduces manual labor information management in office mode, improves the efficiency of the work.
