Abstract


With quick development of network information-based technology and gradual improvement of campus network construction and self-management systems of secondary colleges (divisions), conventional school teaching affairs administration system is limited to management of teaching affairs, and can no longer meet personalized needs of secondary colleges (divisions). Therefore, developing a teacher MIS (management information system) adapting to specific development needs, providing scientific management of teachers’information in this department and providing convenient networking service has become an internal need and inevitable tendency for secondary colleges (divisions), especially secondary divisions of independent colleges, to make use of modern management technology to quickly enhance management efficiency of teachers’information.In the light of this tendency, in order to meet networking management needs of teachers’information resources of Information Engineering Division of Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology where I work, I have developed a teachers’information management system which covers teachers’basic information, salary information, school-teaching information, internal resource share management and every relevant link of teacher management, and also brings into correspondence with teaching information and teachers’information data of the college. Development of this system mainly includes the following work:1) Analyze system needs and set down system development plan. Survey teachers’needs of information-based management fully, clarify system development target, carry out feasibility analysis, cost estimation, benefit analysis and risk evaluation etc., and finally, set down system development plan and agenda according to actual conditions.2) Decide development technologies and tools and so on. After combining with need analysis results and comparing advantages and disadvantages of all development technologies, I finally decide to adopt B/S (Browsers/ Web Server/ Database Servers) tertiary system structure, combine with MVC (Model-View-Controller) mode, and adopt development mode based on Struts + Hibernate framework integration and J2EE technology.3) Finish system design. Finish schematic design of teachers’information management system, and finish detailed design of functional modules such as teachers’information management, teachers’salary management, teachers’school-teaching management and internal resource share of the division and so on.4) Realize teachers’information management system. Realize database, system architecture and business logic design, and also realize such functions as addition, deletion, search, modification, verification, counting, downloading and printing of teachers’information.5) Carry out system testing. Carry out functional testing of this system with black-box testing method.After passing basic system testing and trial operation for a certain period, this system operates stably on the whole; its realized functions basically meet system development target. Moreover, this system has obviously improved basic environment of management of division teachers’basic, teaching, salary and excellent resources (excellent resources of teaching and scientific research), boosted management and service efficiency and quality of division offices, propelled non-paper office process on campus, and saved office resources and management cost.
