Abstract


By the propeling of computer information management system in enterprise management,the techniques of data analysis is increasing quickly.Data mining is acting a more important role in many fields as one of booming data analysis techniques.Managers in enterprise are craving for a more powerful tool on data analysis while they are using statistics.The occurring of data mining provides them a new choice.For members in enterprise quality management group,how to bind data mining to enterprise quality management becomes a problem.How to establish the data mining models by variant data mining methods and build application system for these models is our focus.Data Mining means a decision supporting process of finding out hidden patterns in a large set of facts or observed data.It is also called Knowledge Discovery,Categorization of text database is one of the important tasks of Data Mining. Quality case records is also a class of text dataset.Data mining and categorization of those datasets is of much significance.In this study,200 real quality records were collected from the Fujian Furi Electronics.,Ltd.And then,data cleansing was conducted.The next step is to quantify the data and to extract the features.In this study,we employed a novel feature extract method--the phrase based feature extracting method.We combine the 200 quality records covering 4 different quality case into 3 different groups.finally,we categorize the data by the proposed method.Such algorithm obtains good performance of categorization.Data mining can automatically extract major features of different quality defects from quality case records dataset.And categorizations of the dataset will assist the quality staff to diagnose quality defects and to investigate the features of different quality defects,which may not be discovered before.Although the work presented here is aimed at quality case records categorization,it could be easily adapted to any document type as well.
