With the adjustment of national policies in China and the continuing expansion of the scale of higher educational institutions, the number of students has seen a dramatic increase, and the amount of various students’information has also multiplied. This makes great impacts upon teaching management and the daily management of students in the institutions. Student management is particularly critical to the work of school leaders and counselors who in charge of it. To achieve the daily management of students by employing information management systems has become a trend, and the counselors’office system can not just be satisfied with a simple backup and query of mass data, but also equipped with aid decision making.According to the needs of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, This paper expounds in detail the main issues to be resolved, design ideas and implementation methods of the system, mainly including:By analyzing the characteristics of counselors’daily work and combining with the system’s actual development environment, the paper designs the overall architecture of the management system, namely, developing counselors’office system in the B / S three-tier model, which can improve the system maintainability and the function scalability. The System employs the idea of modular design, achieving the implementation of modules according to the function, so modules are clearly defined, and the functional design of modules is highly targeted. The system’s function mainly includes dividing the counselors’office system to students’loan information module, students’information query module, students’information management module, message platform, system decision-making, employment platform, performance management and system management.The paper takes the main functions of the system for example, mainly conducts detailed functional analysis, functional design and functional implementation of students’information management, employment platform, performance management, etc.The innovation of the paper is combining the data mining technology with system design, and trying to analyze students’performance by using data mining technology.The paper employs the Apriori algorithm in association rules, the user association rules provided for the former must satisfy the minimum support, which must meet the minimum confidence, reflecting the low reliability of association rules. In the user-defined association rules, the former must meet minimum support and the latter must meet minimum confidence, which reflects the minimum reliability of association rules. The application of association rule mainly aims to dig a potential relationship between the item sets of the database. Through the mining of students’performance data, we find the higher mathematics is a very important course for the major of computer science, which should be strengthened.
