Abstract


The modernization has two basic types:the early developed modernization and the late developing one.China belongs to the typical late developing countries,it is decided that China will face lots of difficulties on its way because of the peculiarity of the starting conditions and the socia historical surroundings. In the late 1950s’, Great Leap Forward Movement happened,it is a response to the diffficulties.It is the first difficulty that China faces the poor economic condition and the example of the western developed countries are on the contrary. It is a choice and response that the leaders of the CCP made a surpassing strategy the“Great Leap Forward Movement”.It is the second one that China is lack of capital,but plentiful of labour force. How to use Chinese human resources effectively became an important problem which the Chinese leaders need to think .In order to response to the difficulty,the leaders of the“Great Leap Forward”movement drew up the fundamental strategy building with mass compaign pass,hoping to launch the idle labor force to make up the capital insufficiency in industry and agriculture.It is the third one that the Chinese people had two conflicted psychology on the early developed countries. The western way isn’t suited to China,and the shortcomings of the Soviet Union system were exposed,these made the leaders think how to creat one’s own way.Because of lacking of practical experience and attaching to the past in the revolutionary period the“Great Leap Forward”movement made use of revolutionary experience start once again.The leaders wished to look for a new way,which could both develop modernization fast and get rid of the positive influences of western countries in the modernization. It is the fourth one that modernized mission is arduous, but the pushing strength among the public is very poor,these required government must play a leading role in the course of the modernization ,to be an organizer and advancer ,So the leaders paid more attention to the political mobilization,emphasizing to strengthen centralizing leadship of the CCP and demanding that Secretary of the Party committee be“Marx plus Qin Shi Huang”in the“Great Leap Forward”movement.It has been proved that the special reponse to the difficulties in the Great Leap Forward”movement.is not successful,but it doesn’t mean that we can ignore the difficulties.We must explore new ways to make the Chinese modernization go well after we have take lessons from the the“Great Leap Forward”movement.
