According to the research of Tianjin GALIFER INDUSTRY Co.,LTD., this thesisconfirms that, to develop the production management of the company. This system ,which is called“Production Management Information System”, is strictly based onthe method of structured development life cycle. The company is mainly producesironware, so it is important for a productive factory not to ignore every process of theproduction. The Production Management Information System is therefore veryimportant. The system which made the process of production such as casting, formerprocessing, latter processing, enameling and packaging i.e. systematized andmodernized, is generally not only met the need of the staff and provided a series ofconvenient and more efficient method, but also economized the human resource andmaterial resource, thus improved the working efficiency of the staff and made a stablefoundation for the firm favorable development in the future.The Production Management Information System is expatiated by summary,system analysis, system design, system implementation, system operation andmaintenance of these five chapters. The system analysis is made by Framework Chart,Business Flow Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, and Data Dictionary. The system designis accomplished by functional structure design, physical structure design, databasestructure design, code design, I/O design, UI (User Interface) design. The practice ofsystem is accomplished by functional structure design, Program Flow Chart and writeprogram. The UI is designed by the Power Builder 8.0 software and the database bythe use of the SQL Server.
