Abstract


VDA (Vendor Dependent Application)system is a diagnostic system in the financial field. Most VDA system is used on ATM which have post-maintenance terminal module and the output of this system appears on the display screen of post-maintenance terminal in the form of characters. Therefore, this kind of mode is under great restriction. What’s more, though the system can make initialization test and the operations of some basic tests through“equipment test”function, the maintenance personnel should enter into Windows system to remove the faults and use other tools to make further treatment. The maintenance operation is very complicated. From this aspect, we re-develop the system on the basis of the original one and expand it in a horizontal and longitudinal way, making the new system equipped with function of fault inquiry and the way of removing the fault.With a hierarchical structure, the operating environments of VDA system s are windows2000 or windows XP and the developing environment are VC and Action Script. First the system is undergoing a need analysis according to the software engineering approach and UML modeling technology is used to make the use case diagram of the system so as to make an overall design of the system. The system is divided into express tier and data processing tier. Express tier is illustrated as a Flash interface. The Action Script is used to do flash programming, which makes the interface look more friendly and active. VC is used to develop data processing tier and C++ is taken full use in the aspect of processing data. The data is transferred through pipe communication between the two tiers. As to the function, the system is equipped with not only fault detection function, but also the function of fault location on some hardware modules. As to the aspect of software, it is provided with parameters configuration of the hardware module as well as detection function to system environment.The system is the integration of fault analysis and fault processor capabilities, and it can carry out a fault location function on basis of the original function of fault analysis, which greatly facilitates the machine maintenance for the maintenance personnel. It also provides some common troubleshooting video tutorials to facilitate the administrator to exclude some common faults manually.
