Abstract


In recent years, with the rapid development of the national economy and the increasing of people’s living standards, the wireless communications in China have also been greatly developed. As a hand-held wireless communication device, mobile phone is becoming more powerful with numerous functions. The mobile phone software, as a direct interface to phone users, is now facing enormous challenges: a growing number of crashes, restart, packet loss, response slow, and unstable cell phone software quality issues. Therefore, the management of the software quality, as the crucial part of the mobile phone quality, is particularly important.The quality management of project and software is first introduced in the paper. Then the characteristic of the mobile phone software and the crucial problems in the software quality are analyzed. Based on the analysis above, the key technologies in the quality management of mobile phone software and the evaluation criteria are investigated. Finally, a quality management model of mobile phone software (named as DPCCM) is proposed. In the model, the software defect test and change control, together with the defect prediction by Rayleigh model, are used to ensure the software quality. At last, the feasibility of the model is verified in an actual mobile phone software development.
