Abstract


With the rapid development of computer and netword, web-based instruction is just under such an era backgrounds flourishing to rise. It is becoming more and more important in education field by influencing the changes in course contents, teaching methods and teaching modes as well.With the overall implementation of the building-up work of campus_wide network, the importance and urgency in online teaching, educational resource-sharing and so on have already gotten more and more attention and realized.Compared with traditional teaching modes, web-based instruction has all the advantages of the ordinary computer-assisted instruction and it also overcomes the limitations caused by single computer unit.With a wide coverage, web-based instruction is flexible and its education resource and study are not restricted in terms of space and time Therefore, web-based instruction can provide people with education service at any time, any place and it is widely applied in the long-distance education, vocational studies etc.Web-based instruction has greatly satisfied the request for personnel training in the new eraThe background and meanings of web-based instruction are introduced and current characteristics of the existent system are analyzed in this thesis, and the current situation and the development of web-based instruction of domestic and international are introduced.We designs a network teaching system that is applicable to the environment of campuse_wide network, which embodies the network teaching thought of“take students as the center, take teachers as the guidance”. It can improve the teaching’s efficiency and student’s enthusiasm.The system adopts the current popular J2EE system structure, and combines MVC mode with the J2EE four layers, which make the performance logic and the business logic separate mutually. It is more convenient for the development and the maintenance of the system; The JBOSS which is open source code acts as application server and the Tomcat as Web server; The page performance mainly is implemented by the JSP, it is the interface between server and user; The business logic process is realized by the EJB components.On the choice of the database, the system has used domestic database-OpenBase developed by the Neusoft.The system customer is divided into three kinds of:administrator,teacher and student.The customers enter the system from the entrance through access authorization, and complete the function operation in the scope. The system mainly realized a series of functions, which could include the teachers’online teaching, mutual communication, homework management, student management, the students online study, course homework, online test, the question and discussion, administrators system management,customer management, course maintenance, announcement management and so on.The implementation of the system is introduced in detail:development of components,the accessing of data information and the deployment of the system. In order to optimize the upload function of data information, the TFTP protocol is improved. The concurrent performance of the system is tested by simulating hundreds of customers to access the system concurrently. Finally parts of function interfaces in the realization of the system aregiven.
