Abstract


Along with the reforms in the economic system and the university system, the problem of poor students in colleges and universities has become a major problem. During the development and reform of higher education, China’s higher education is changing into the popular education from the elite one. With the expansion of the scale in enrolling, more poor students get the chance to enter college. But at the same time, university tuition fees and the implementation of the standards has increased, and the proportion of poor students has risen dramatically every year, which makes the problems of poor students in colleges and universities more prominent and become the focus of the development of higher education and social concern. All attach great importance to the new characteristics and issues in the poor students’thinking and behavior, which is a new problem the ideological and political must face squarely and study. The particularity of the ideological and political education of poor college students requires that we should be closely around the aim of the ideological and political education and according to the features of the new era problems of poor students in college students, find the new methods suitable for the development of ideological and political education of college students to enhance ideological and political work in a more effective manner.This article regarding the ideological and political education of poor students in the university as a target of intervention work, analysis the causes of poverty, the group features and the need, the special and coping strategies to promote ideological and political work from sociology, ethics, economics and psychological.The body of this article is divided into five parts. The first chapter: the status quo of poor students in college and the causes of poverty. The second chapter: analysis of the special of poor students in colleges. The third chapter: the existent problems of ideological and political education of poor students in colleges. The fourth chapter: the peculiar contents of the ideological and political education of poor college students. The fifth chapter: the special ways of ideological and political education of poor college students.
