Abstract


The new Curricular Standards of PE and Health in general senior middle school have established instructive ideology ----health is in the first place, and have centered on the concept of the development of students. The new Curricular Standards pay more attention to the development of the locomotor’s interests and specialties of students, in the meanwhile, the new Curricular Standards establish ideology of the basic PE curriculum for the students for life. In order to validate whether to carry out the PE optional pattern is scientific and available during senior middle school under the instructions of the new Curricular Standards, this essay introduces some methods such as the method of literature and information, the method of investigations, experiments and data statistic to analyze and does research on some related problems when bringing the optional PE into effect. The results prove to be that the optional PE education actualized in senior middle school incarnates the requirements for education for all-round development and accords with the basic disciplines of senior middle school students’mental health and the main demands of students, which offers some foundations to the cultivation and optimization of synthetically physical constitution, and which provides broaden developing space for both students and teachers. The essay mainly discovers the effective patterns and methods adapting to PE in senior middle school by means of investigating the reaction of some headmasters, teachers and students in some campus schools after experimenting with this. The research indicates that the optional teaching is feasible and well popular with students in senior middle school.
