Abstract


With the rapid development of science and technology, different countries have keen competition which most reflect on the competition of talent. Since entering the 21st century, higher college education make great contribution on the cultivation and the selection of large amounts of outstanding people, the protection of society public benefits, however, we can’t find a single solution for all problems on the cultivation of talent, we need not only elite, but also large numbers of applied people with solid theories, skills as well as the sprit and ability of creativity. It demands higher colleges should fix a rational position for themselves.On the concrete practical process of talent development, it will be restricted by different kinds of factors such as teaching methods, teaching means, examination system and more concrete teaching activities. Nowadays, researches of teaching methods’reforms both at home and abroad are relatively more than before, but for examination system, there still exist many deficiencies especially in the study of the higher college’s examination system reform under the mode of applied people cultivation. Having exams is an important process when it regarded as the encouragement and steering mechanism of the cultivation of talent; we apply it well so that can improve the quality and efficiency of the developing of talent.This article exemplifies a local college and applies some research methods such as literature research and questionnaire survey. Under the basis of comparing different developments of the training pattern for applied talents both at home and abroad, analyzing the functions and characteristics of the college’s examination system under the mode of applied talents’training, scouting for the universal problems of this local college’s examination system, exploring the reasons it happens, and putting forward a new idea for examination system reform under the training pattern of practical and applied talents. Starting with many aspects like the renewal of ideas, the reform of methods and the improvement of evaluate system, we make every effort to establish a new examination reform mechanism so that the purpose of developing and shaping talent under the applied-oriented training pattern of higher college will be realized greatly.
