Abstract


Professor Zhang Guiyuan has been engaged in medical careerfor more than 30 years. He has taken a detailed, systemicresearch and accumulated abundant therapeutic experiences onGERD with traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine. Hethinks: that bite and sup infract stomach, liver Qi infractstomach, spleen deficiency are Gastroesophageal refluxdisease GERD engender mostly reason.We came the conclusion thatspleen deficiency and liverstagnation, failure of stomach Qi descend with abnormalflow of stomach Qi were the principal mechanism of thisdisease. The location of this ailment was in spleen andstomach. It was closelyrelated to the regulation functionof liver. Professor Zhang regards treatment based onsymptom differentiation, strengthening the spleen anddredge liver Qi, melody spleen and stomach Qi as the mainhealing devices of GERD.
