Abstract


After China’s accession to WTO,the tobacco industry of China is faced with double pressures and challenges inside and outside.In order to remain invincible, the tobacco industry of China has to inhance its competitive strength constantly.One of the important means to inhance competitive strength is to further strengthen the information construction of the enterprise. The tobacco industry of China has accumulated large amounts of business data after years of information construction. The most urgent problem to be solved for the enterprise is how to use these data effectively, and dig out the inherent commercial value and economic laws from these data to support corporate decision-making. Business intelligence technology is an effective way to solve this problem.The main research of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper firstly introduces the development status of business intelligence and several key supporting technologies.(2)This paper gives the design methods of BI system according to a tobacco company’s actual business needs, including needs analysis,the overall architecture design, data warehouse design and system function design.(3) This paper proposes a model applications of the tobacco industry called link up model of sales and production, it uses unitary linearity regression of time series to predict short term tobacco sales.Practice shows that this model can predict accurately and can help factoties to make production plans.(4) This paper uses multiple linear regression method and H-P filter method to build sale preditiion models and uses the two models to predict the future sale in Hangzhou.
