Abstract


As a product of the reform of the financial system in China , led to the operation and management of city commercial banks deficiencies due to historical reasons , small-scale , poor asset quality , weak anti-risk ability , making the development and growth of the city commercial banks has been constrained . Government support and their continuous efforts , as of December 31, 2008 , China 's city commercial banks' capital adequacy ratio of all standards in product innovation , mode of operation and philosophy has also been significantly improved . This indicates that the city commercial banks in China after the reform and development has been significant progress, has developed into a thriving force in the financial system in the city , is an important force to support the development of the national economy , its survival and development to adapt to the needs of the times . However, with the deepening of China 's reform of the financial system and the full liberalization of the banking , city commercial banks face fierce competition situation , how to seize opportunities, meet challenges and continue to promote better and faster development of city commercial banks need to study an important issue. Both from the advantages of their own development of city commercial banks , or from macroeconomic city commercial banks in the banking system should be to study the business location of the city commercial banks have a very important significance . The paper is divided into four parts , the first part reviews the literature of domestic and foreign research the reform and development of city commercial banks , summarized the research scholars at home and abroad survival and development strategy of the city commercial banks ; second part of the review of city commercial the formation process of the present situation and characteristics of the formation of the bank ; the third part analyzes the main problems the city commercial banks ; Section IV presents the suggestions of promoting the development of city commercial banks .
