Abstract


Modern logistics has become "the third source of profits" and "the rich land uncultured in the field of the circulating economy", following the natural resources and labor forces, which has become an important issue of the world economy developing. In recent years, logistics distributions have grown up in each province of our country. How to plan these programs confidently is one of the keys of modern logistics developing and is the embodiment of the more efficient logistics system, which is also the important mature symbol of a country or a district logistics developing level.This paper is writed as the guide of modern logistics theory and is supported by the theory of the logistics demand forecasting and logistics planning theory. At First, we analyze the problems in the logistics industry’s development in Western district of Panzhihua City. After that, we demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of the modern logistics center in Western district, and make a prediction of the future demand for this logistics center. Secondly, on the basis of the ideology and basic principles of the modern logistics center, we propose the strategic positioning, business model, functional design, layout and information platform for the strategic planning assumptions of the modern logistics center in Western district. Finally, we put forward some effective protection measures for the construction and development of this logistics center.Through detailed analysis of this article, I hope it can play a guiding role and also avoid blindly following in the construction and operation of the logistics center in Western district.
