Abstract


With the rapid development of science and technology, as well as the growth of global economy, the competition in the manufacturing industry is becoming more and more intense. As a result of all the disadvantages including high cost, average quality and inefficiency, the traditional manufacturing model is having a hard time adapting to the complicated and emerging environment, and could hardly meet the specific request from the consumers. Thus an improved production management model is required.This thesis is focused on the transformation of traditional manufacturing industry. I finished a thorough study on Information Integrated、Lean Production and Agile Manufacturing by a comparison among the three models. When it comes to evaluation, I used Lean Assessment of radar chart for lean,Index System of Enterprises informatization for information integration and Rick Dove’s Agile Assessment System Evaluation for Agility. Based on the study, I designed a capability evaluation model with 3 dimensions of lean, integration and agility. With the evaluation model, I proposed a Traditional-to-Agile Transformation Theory by adopting Leaning,Information Integrating and Agile Module Building on the basis of the IE+IT integrated management platform. What’s more, I also discussed on the possible ways of transformation among different situations, and worked out an action plan for the agility innovation of traditional manufacturers.I studied the fast growing RE company as my case. I evaluated the current status of RE and found a proper way for it by using Contingent business transformation path choice theory. I then worked out clear actions and steps to lead RE to achieve solid progress on the agility innovation.
