Abstract


China 's resource-based cities have played a major role in the socialist economic construction . With the exploitation of resources , many mining cities are faced with the difficulties of the mine dried up city declines . Resource-exhausted cities with economies in transition and sustainable development has become a universal problem, so the special nature of the resource-based cities with economies in transition to become the only way of urban development to a certain stage . The success of economies in transition is not only related to the operation of the national economy as a whole , but also a social problem , the relationship between China 's social stability and unity . Qianxi pace of economic development rapidly, but the economy has shown signs of decline. Hundred counties in Hebei Province in 2006 , due to the impact of the financial crisis on iron ore prices , the data show that in the first half of 2008, but was absent .
