Abstract


Cretaceous is considered the epitome of the \Through the qualification system data concluded that the presence of the following has the climatic significance Cretaceous terrestrial sedimentary special type : Combustible organic rock , calcium deposition , desert sedimentary system, evaporites , iron deposition , copper deposition, lateritic weathering shell, limestone , volcanic -related deposits, dolomite and bentonite . For different periods to reflect the Late Cretaceous terrestrial climatic significance for all types of special groups deposited by \Stratigraphic divisions within the same stratigraphic unit to establish stratigraphic correlation of stratigraphic correlation table discussions . Use the knowledge gained during the Late Cretaceous six special deposition maps, may be deposited on the different types of spatial and temporal characteristics specific discussions . Combining exceptional climatic significance represented by deposition , can be summarized as follows climate indicator: combustible organic rock , and black ( mud ) accompanied raw shale and pyrite occur siderite , bentonite is a sign of warm and humid climate ; lateritic weathering crust , trivalent iron deposition is hot and humid - hot climate signs ; gypsum, limestone reflects the warm and dry climate . Rock salt, glauberite desert sedimentary system, dolomite reflects the dry heat . Volcano -related deposition may reflect high temperature environments. Calcium deposition , copper deposition reflects arid - semi-arid climate . According to the distribution of a special combination of sedimentary features that can be divided into seven kinds of climate types : ( 1 ) warm - warm and dry climate ; ( 2 ) warm and dry climate ; ( 3 ) hot, dry climates ; ( 4 ) arid - hot and dry climate ; ( 5 ) hot and wet climate ; ( 6 ) hot dry - semi-arid climate ; ( 7 ) hot wet - hot and dry climate . Late Cretaceous climate zone of the Cenomanian -Turonian period to dry heat , drought - hot dry climate zone dominated . Coniacian period -Maastrichtian stage , warm - warm and dry climate with narrow, hot dry - semi-arid climatic zones to expand, reduce climate zone type . Santonian period, the dry tropics through things . And Early Cretaceous compared to Late Cretaceous drier , hotter. Comparatively speaking , Cenomanian -Turonian stage of the driest , Coniacian -Maastrichtian stage of hotter .
