Abstract


Dynamic Positioning thrust on system design engineers made ??different from the traditional new requirements for ship propulsion systems , requiring a series of dynamic positioning applications suitable analytical tools and design methods . In this paper, a deepwater semi-submersible platform for the object, thrust through its dynamic positioning system design, discusses the thrust applied to dynamic positioning system design methods . Involved in the design first discussed several key issues, including the type of selection , hydrodynamic interference characteristics , redundancy considerations. To obtain accurate environmental load information for system design and analysis thrust used on a semi-submersible platform for dynamic positioning external load calculations and experimental verification , focusing on the wave drift force calculations and experimental measurements, which drift strike force integration method based on near-field modeling calculations, using a set of test measurements are suitable for semi-submersible platform wave drift force measuring devices. Introduces two methods for assessment and analysis of semi-submersible platform for dynamic positioning capability approach, that dynamic positioning capability curves and dynamic simulation of dynamic positioning , the establishment of two methods of calculation model , combined with a specific numerical example calculation and results analysis . Based on two dynamic positioning capability analysis method, and taking into account the failure mode , run the economy and other aspects , compare and determine the semi-submersible platform thrust system preliminary design , and the design is analyzed and evaluated. This work is designed to provide a practical engineering valuable reference for the evaluation of dynamic positioning capability provides an important means and methods .
