Abstract


Product Data Management (PDM) is a technology that is used to manage all product related information and all processes. But now there is a problem of the island of information with the application of CAD, CAM and CAPP etc. With the advancing of information, product data management, as the basement of information has been acknowledged by many enterprises. There are some advantages on application of PDM, such as easily realizing information and process integration, shortening the product design period and design modify, quickening time on market and reducing the totally cost. But there are some problems in adopting foreign product data management software, such as the high price, long implementing cycle, large implementing risk and redeveloping, So it is different to mostly Chinese mid-small enterprise to bring into effect, and they have no way to achieve the real info integration and processintegration, and it has been the obstacle of being information of Chinese mid-small enterprise.In this thesis, ASP-PDM is studied on the basis of the research of workflow technology, the dynamic alliance Network manufacture around the world. An application example about ASP-PDM is given based on Web technology and Web Services. The author’s main workings are given as follows:1) Research the development and the current status of PDM inside and outside country. Point out the shortage of the development of PDM inside country. At the same time, work over some skills related to PDM system and discuss their newly development in order to develop this system.2) Sum up the general system structure and mostly functions of PDM system. Based on this, put forward system structure and functions of PDM system, which will be developed.3) Based on an intensive study of Web Services technology, the article mentions a solution that PDM system is integrated.4) System structure based on Web Services technology and Web technology. The article brings forward ASP-PDM System structure.5) On the basis of analysis of present several kind of security mechanism, ASP -PDM security mechanism is given combined with ASP-PDM practical situation.6) Detailedly introduce the process of development and the used think and method of the whole system. Mostly introduce the development and realization of some child system.7) ummarize the finished work and point out the deficiency. At last put forward some personal propositions for the future work and anticipate a future of PDM system inside country.
