Abstract

The advantages of a combination of ad hoc networks and traditional wireless networks to the wireless mesh network . Guide its core idea is to allow each node in the network can send and receive signals , such inter-node communication is no longer need to access point forwarding , by the configuration of the multi-hop network , the data can be transmitted through between adjacent nodes forwarding until the destination, and to reduce the likelihood of traffic congestion , and greatly improving the network performance . The first wireless mesh network standard , architecture , features , and applications . Then AODV passive routing protocols elaborated . Then focus described ETX routing metric algorithm . Find a major improvement program is introduced in the wireless mesh network the ETX routing criterion , instead of the mere minimum hop count to determine the optimal routing . Make the appropriate modifications on the basis of the original framework of the wireless card driver , joined the ETX module , a second transmission route probe packets to measure the success probability of the link to send and receive data packets , each link is calculated ETX value. Transmission packet , the first query link ETX, select ETX value minimum path as the best route communications . Simple system test , compared with the original version can be proved that this method can improve the link transmission rate and network throughput , improve the performance of the wireless mesh network . Finally, after further research direction .
