Abstract


Engine noise control problem solving must first find the maximum noise emission engine parts or components , that is a major noise source, and then for the main noise source characteristics of the sound source to be able to receive the desired results. Studies have shown that the surface radiation from the engine acoustic signal contains a lot of vibration and noise source information. However, due to engine complex mechanical structure and energy conversion processes lead to complex multi- motivation, stability and non- linear multi- coupling system , which makes the use of the traditional theory and method of signal analysis is difficult to fully apply. This paper analyzes the main engine noise and its causes , describes the sound intensity measurement noise theory and methods developed for a certain engine noise measurement program was carried out noise measurements . Since the acquisition of the engine to have non-stationary noise signal , wavelet transform in non-stationary signal analysis has many unique advantages , this article on the advantages of wavelet analysis are discussed in detail , shows how to determine the minimum and maximum wavelet transform scale parameter . And for the wavelet transform engine noise source identification of practical problems , innovations proposed for the practical application of the wavelet analysis results are described manner . And a surface of the engine noise signal wavelet transform to identify the main noise source for the engine to provide a basis for noise control .
