Active power and frequency control method for grid-connected wind farms to eliminate the adverse effects of fluctuations in the wind power on the grid , to achieve large-scale wind power grid and participate in frequency control system , this article . Flywheel energy storage control method is effective use of flywheel energy storage systems (Flywheel Energy Storage System, FESS) rapid response capability in the auxiliary wind farm active and frequency control can obtain good control . This paper designed a flywheel energy storage system based on permanent magnet synchronous motor . Permanent magnet motor vector control methods to achieve accurate and effective control of the electromagnetic torque . Design of the speed control module, in order to ensure the safe operation of the flywheel . Flywheel energy storage system the auxiliary wind farm active power and frequency control reference power calculation method . The motor charge and discharge the conversion of the operating state of the flywheel energy storage system according to the changes in the reference power by the grid side converter control grid and the energy exchange of the energy storage system and the unity power factor operation . The converters are the space electric sub- vector (SVPWM) control technology . Established in Matlab / Simulink model of the control of the energy storage system , the wind farm grid meritorious and frequency control simulation , simulation results show that this method can effectively gentle active power output of wind farms , reducing the frequency of the grid offset .
