Abstract


While all walks of life arguing whether should newspaper companies be listed or not and how they survive and develop in the market, Chinese newspaper companies have already turned the stock of capital market financing journey. At present, there are six listed newspaper companies. The performances of these listed companies after the listing, problems and the roots causing the problems, and whether there are solutions to these problems or not and so on, all these are important to the future development and survival mode of these listed companies and other newspaper companies which will be listed.This article puts the Chinese newspaper market into the international, national and self background in the macro and micro environments. By analyzing the ownership structure, main business structure, key financial data systems of listed newspaper companies, this article points out the problem of over administrative intervention, the phenomenon of insider control, the imbalance of operating structural and simplistic profit making model. Through domestic and international cases and experience, the article discusses the problems and solutions of the structure of newspaper market, construction of modern enterprise, achievement of whole group listings and improvement of operational efficiency. The article also uses one of the success listed newspaper companies,“Bo Rui Chuan Bo”, to provide business development experience.
