Abstract


Disinfections of feed water are the key problem of Water Corporation.Chlorine disinfection used as disinfection method has been used for hundred of years. However new disinfection process is in great needed because of the safety problem of transportation and use of liquid chlorine, sometimes efficiency of disinfection is not so good.All kinds of disinfection methods are thoroughly discussed in this paper. The superiority, mechanism and preparation process of chlorine dioxide method are discussed in this paper. Firstly several parameters which influence the efficiency of chlorine dioxide disinfection such as temperature, organic content, PH and turbidity are studied by using inactivated experiments of Escherichia coli. Secondly the influence of the residual amount of chlorine dioxide and bactericidal action to treated water and tapped water are studied with different coagulant dosage.Three kinds of cases are studied in this paper. First case is to adjust the coagulant dosage of chlorine dioxide according to the flooding velocity; Second case is to control coagulant dosage according to the residual amount of chlorine dioxide; Third case is to adjust the coagulant dosage of chlorine dioxide according to the bacteriological standard for drinking water. The optimized coagulant dosage of chlorine dioxide is 0.60 PPM by the experimental study of Dupo Shan Water Corporation, which will promote the popularization and application of chlorine dioxide disinfection method.
