Interference is the self-mixing laser output light is reflected or scattered by an external object , wherein the part of the light fed back to the laser and the cavity , the feedback of the external light carries information of the object , after mixing with the light cavity , thereby modulating the laser output , called laser self-mixing interference . Compared to the traditional self- mixing interference with interfering with the same intensity fluctuations of the phase sensitivity and depth of interference situations can be identified from the mixing interference signal . These factors determine the self- mixing interference in optical sensor has a good application prospect. In the presence of feedback , the laser can be made narrower or wider spectral linewidth , which can be applied to press the laser linewidth . Laser applications in optical fiber communication , the line width is usually caused by factors such as optical fiber transmission linewidth , impact on the system . Research multiple external cavity laser self-mixing interference system on the impact of the laser linewidth is conducive to control . In this paper, multiple external cavity and multiple feedback self-mixing interference system and its impact on the laser linewidth were studied . This paper first studied the gain -coupled distributed feedback (GC DFB) laser self-mixing interference effects . According to thin film interference theory, between two adjacent reflectors form a thin film interference can be drawn from the low-light conditions, hybrid feedback interference theory . According to multiple external cavity self-mixing interference output frequency, and line width variation threshold gain expression , taking into account the different internal and external parameters for DFB laser self-mixing interference effects were simulated with the simulation analysis . Secondly studied contain multiple optical feedback self-mixing interference effects , through numerical analysis of the model system of interference fringes waveform. Contribute to the second harmonic of the interference signal . Finally, the distributed Bragg reflector semiconductor laser (DBR) self-mixing interference effects were studied. In the case of weak feedback , theoretically analyzed, in accordance with its single- and multi- external cavity under external optical feedback self- mixing interference frequency and gain variation expressions numerical simulation analysis .
