Abstract


Take a stratified sampling method , a total of 766 young people of the third grade study used questionnaires to ordinary secondary school the first two days to high , ordinary University to explore the groups of young people in the different levels of self-esteem in the face of life situations . take the defensive , and combined with the young people of urban and rural sources , grade, gender, family , one-child , the following conclusions : 1 . along with the growth of the young age , self-esteem levels ( except defensive high self-esteem ) a gradual increase , the use of immature defense mode frequency decreased significantly higher than those in junior high school and high school students , college students use mature defense . Adolescent self-esteem in the immature defense mature defense , intermediate -type defense , there is no significant gender differences . Urban and rural youth in the overall self-esteem and high self-esteem , and defensive high self-esteem , there were significant differences . 4 only children and young people in low self-esteem level significant differences; only children and there are significant differences on immature defense and intermediate defense . The one-child defensive high self-esteem number significantly higher than that of non one-child defensive number of high self-esteem ; city defensive high self-esteem number was significantly higher than in rural defensive number of high self-esteem . Lower levels of self-esteem of young people , the more immature defense : the higher the level of self-esteem of young people , the more mature defense style , and can be proactive in the face of difficulties , to solve the problem . Defensive high self-esteem youngsters more immature defense ; really high self-esteem youngsters more mature defense style , both in the middle of defense the way there is no significant . From the point of view of self-esteem and how to improve the self-esteem level youth counseling and mental health education to provide a reference , and expand the population of subjects , added the self-esteem of the \methods and applied research in the defense style , get the benefit of the conclusions of the construct of self-esteem theory and practical application . However , this study is only a tentative research division of the self-esteem has a universal significance remains to be more in-depth study and exploration .
