With another wave of large scale railway construction in a new round, which brings leaps and bounds to railway, the construction of high speed railway and inter-city railway improves the national railway network and increases the passenger volume. As the intersection of railway, urban transit, bus, taxi and private cars, the railway station plays an important role in multi-modal transportation. The connective quality between railway station and urban traffic will directly affect the efficiency of the entire urban comprehensive traffic system. Therefore, it seems that researching the connection operation of railway station and urban traffic is the key means to coordinate multi-modals, improve the transfer efficiency of railway passenger transportation and urban traffic, and ease the traffic situation, which is also the necessary requirement of urban traffic to make a significant impact.Firstly, from the evolution of relationship between railway station and the city, the paper analyses the connective relationship of railway station and urban traffic, and then respectively researches the connection among railway station and urban rail traffic, bus, taxi and private cars. Through analyzing the transfer operation, capacity, time, and the transfer services information from the above transportation modes, the paper summarizes the railway station and urban traffic theory. By building the transfer-passenger sharing rate model, the paper analyzes the characteristics of passenger flow in Chongqing, and researches the transfer-sharing rate after the urban railway is connected to the Chongqing North Station. At last, the connection situation between Chongqing North station and the above urban traffic modes are researched, and then problems of connection between Chongqing north station and urban traffic are analyzed.
