Abstract


With the rapid development of economic globalization, domestic enterprises are experiencing an increasingly violent competition in economic strength. The establishment of the Performance Appraisal System(PAS) is playing a more and more critical role in various business activities. It might constrain the growth of an enterprise or affect its survival. Ever since the introduction of the concept of PAR from abroad, a lot of research into it has been done in our country. However, so far as the private enterprise is concerned, there has been a lack of depth in researching its appropriate situations of establishment, the definition of implementation procedure, the evaluation methodology and level of enforcement. As a matter of fact, in practical production and business operation, it has become a big headache for administrators how they can find an efficient way to realize value and improve performance standards so as to strengthen competitive power, strive for greater profits and ensure survival of the enterpriseBased on an analysis and diagnosis of the present administration situation of the PAS applied in zinc extraction and electrolysis in Hongda Company, this essay explains the background, purpose and significance of establishing the PAS in this company and explores the possible mode, approaches and measures to improve performance management. It is believed that through active practice, the bottleneck constraining the strategic goals of the enterprise can be eliminated, its advantages promoted and weaknesses improved, thus attaining global optimization and sustainable development of the enterprise.
