Abstract


An old saying goes, "the gardens south of the Yangtze River are the Best under Heaven, and among them the gardens of Suzhou are the Best." Garden on the Yangtze Delta is the representative of Chinese classical gardens, she has a very rich content, a garden can be said to be the epitome of Chinese culture. The Garden Architecture is the essence of Chinese Dwellings. Its variety of architectural form, spatial organization and courtyard arrangement - in any direction whatever, It can clearly be seen that Garden on the Yangtze Delta represents the high intelligence of Chinese people.Veranda And Pavilion are the indispensable element of the garden. This article include three parts: Firstly, Veranda And Pavilion’s modeling and existing forms, and their combinations with the garden architecture, from which we can see their high artistic value; Secondly, Veranda And Pavilion play a major part in the spatial organization and courtyard arrangement, they separate and enclosed courtyards, they make space access and penetration, they decorated and rendering environment. It can clearly be seen that garden may not be that beautiful without Veranda And Pavilion’s cooperation. Finally, there are some opusculums have Close relationship with Veranda And Pavilion, they Enrich the connotation of the gardenGarden on the Yangtze Delta is a small part of Chinese culture what is profound,and Veranda And Pavilion is a small part of Garden on the Yangtze Delta, too. This article hope can do some contribution to the study of Chinese Traditional Culture.
