Abstract

In this study, the Mu Us sand Burnet Sand Area Saudi biological crust as the research object , Pinus sylvestris, Hedysarum , of Artemisia arenaria three species the the understory acquisition crust samples , determination of the physicochemical properties of the crust and nutrients ; analysis of Mu Us Sandland new produce of biological Crust characteristics ; explore the sandy areas of biological knot leather on the sandy area water movement process of the dynamic impact of the law ; major findings are as follows : 1 hair sandland as bio- knot leather of mechanical composition with silt accounted for more than 85 % of the mechanical composition of the crust ; crusts water content is a bare sand water content of more than 2-fold , 60% of the minimum water content is also higher than the bare sandy . 2 biological crusts role of nitrogen fixation , total nitrogen content in the crust , with the control and significantly different , with an average increase of 2.62 times ; high content of organic matter in the crust than in the control ground vegetation cover 60% of organic matter in the crust content is 8.03 times the contrast land ; crust , P, K contents than the control ground . The formation of the crust to improve soil nutrient status . Woodlands related to the size and species of the pH of biological crusts , different species , different pH values ??of the crust ; the biological crusts pH value from the top of a dune in the end the Ministry of decreasing soil moisture and ground vegetation translucent due The higher the moisture content , the more dense the vegetation , more understory crusts pH close to neutral . 3 biological crusts interception effect of rainfall infiltration , effectively prevent isolated rainfall quick access to the surface of soil aggregates structure ; crust can control water infiltration rate , uniform infiltration of rainfall into the soil , to extend infiltration time , reduce leakage losses , enhance water retention properties , and is conducive to the restoration of vegetation ; crust delay the evaporation of water , less in the long dry season , the crust deep soil moisture loss . P content and other analysis factors in the crust of the correlation : the correlation coefficient between biological crust between the physical and chemical properties of each indicator ; organic matter content is positively correlated with the total N content in the crust , and the correlation coefficient of 0.95748 ; Crusts total K content and total P content was significantly negatively correlated with a correlation coefficient of -0.98249 , total K in the crust of clay content was significantly negatively correlated with a correlation coefficient of -0.9002 .
