Objective: To study the Xinjiang Uighur youths together individually normal postural characteristics smiling as orthodontics , orthognathic surgery and dental clinical diagnosis , treatment, and provide reference for efficacy evaluation . Methods: 64 14-18 years ( 27 males , mean age 16.26 years, female 38 cases , aged 15.71 years old ) ordinary Yan Maung , the Xinjiang Uygur individual normal teenagers together as the research object , using a digital camera, take their position smiling front of maxillofacial soft tissue photos, using Photoshop CS4 software portion of its fixed-point measurements lips , smile got nine characteristics related measurements ( including six visual evaluation and quantitative evaluation index 3 ) , and use SPSS17.0 package measurement results were analyzed statistically. Results : The Xinjiang Uyghur youth combined individual normal smile , smile low , median smile, smiling high ratios were 19% , 56%, 25%. Lower lip on the edge of the incisors do not touch , touch, lightly covered , respectively 66% , 25%, 9%. Upper incisors and canine teeth sharp cutting edge is not parallel with the lower lip , parallel those were 59 %, 41% . Nose width is greater than , less than, equal to the width between the maxillary canine rates were 45% , 30%, 25%. Mouth midpoint position than the upper lip , low, high , 70% identical , respectively , 14% and 16%. Smiling male adolescents exposed to the number of teeth 8.89 ± 1.80 stars, female adolescents exposed teeth smile was 9.49 ± 1.59 number of stars. Normal co- Uighur youths smile index , gingival index exposure statistically significant gender differences . Conclusion: Smile teen Uygur characteristics are as follows: median smile, cutting edge upper incisors do not touch the lower lip , nose width greater than the width between the maxillary canine , spat position lower than the midpoint of the upper lip .
