Abstract


Objective : trans- Twin-block and the Frankel-III functional appliance therapy behalf dentition or early permanent dentition functional , mild skeletal Angle Class Ⅲ wrong (? ) Analysis before and after treatment of soft tissue changes , the evaluation of the efficacy of the two appliance . Class Ⅲ clinical practice ( ? ) To provide a theoretical basis for effective treatment . Method : select alternate teeth or permanent teeth period early functional and mild skeletal Angle Class Ⅲ wrong ( ?) In 30 patients ( 16 male patients, 14 females ) , aged 7 years old to 13.5 years old . Randomly divided into trans- Twin-block group and the Frankel-III group , 15 cases in each group . Respectively positioning piece before and after treatment , the clinical manifestations and soft tissue cephalometric analysis . And using SPSS17.0 statistical package for statistical analysis. Results: ① after trans- Twin-block appliance treatment , lower lip base angle (S-Ns-Si), lower lip protrusion from the (LL-EP) (S-Ns-Pos) and soft tissue angle decreases, up and down lip base angle (Sn-Ns-Si) and the surface of the increase of the projection angle (Ns-Sn-Pos) , all have extremely significant ( P LT ; 0.01 ) . Below (Sn-Me), the overall high ( Ns -Me ) and upper lip projecting distance ( UL - EP ) of the increase has a significant difference ( P LT ; 0.05 ) . Upper lip base angle (S-Ns-Sn), on the lips (ULSn-Sn) and above (Ns-Sn) the increase was not statistically significant . ( 2 ) After the Frankel-Ⅲ functional appliance treatment , upper and lower lip base angle ( Sn - Ns -Si ) surface lobes (Ns-Sn-Pos) and under lips (LLSi-Sn) increase , lower lip base angle ( S-Ns-Si), the soft tissue angle (S-Ns-Pos) and lower lip projecting distance ( LL - EP ) of the reduced , are highly significant difference ( P LT ; 0.01 ) . Upper lip base angle (S-Ns-Sn), on the lips ( ULSn - Sn ) , the following high ( Sn - Me ) , comprehensive high (Ns-Me) and the upper lip projecting distance (UL-EP) of the increase , both having significant difference (P lt; 0.05). ③ compared the two groups , the upper lip base angle (S-Ns-Sn), upper and lower lip base angle ( Sn - Ns -Si ) , on the lips (ULSn-Sn) increase was statistically significant . ④ two groups used the time difference with extremely significant ( P lt; 0.01 ) . Conclusion: ① two functional appliance cephalometric soft tissue can be significantly improved. ② trans Twin-block is the role of the soft tissue of the lower jaw , the Frankel - III appliance on the role of the soft tissue of the upper and lower jaws . ③ trans- Twin-block group average treatment time is significantly shorter than the Frankel-Ⅲ group .
