Abstract


Objective:To explore the clinical and pathological features in patients of chronic hepatitis B with steatosis and chronic hepatitis C with steatosis.Methods:To retrospectively analyze the data of 455 patients hospitalized in our department from February 2003-February 2010,To compare the incidence, liver function, serum lipid patterns, fasting plasma glucose, the Liver fibrosis markers and histopathological features in two groups.(CHB with steatosis and CHC with steatosis).Results:The incidence of HBV infection with steatosis was 39.6%, the incidence of HBV infection with steatosis was 53.57%. Liver function:the level of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in group of HBV infection with steatosis is lower than in group of HBV infection without steatosis; the level of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) in group of HCV infection with steatosis is higher than in group of HCV infection without steatosis; the level of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) in group of HBV infection with steatosis is lower than in group of HCV infection without steatosis; serum lipid patterns and fasting plasma glucose:there were significant defference in triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein and fasting plasma glucose between CHB with steatosis and CHB without steatosis by statistically analysis (P< 0.05);there were significant defference in triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol between CHC with steatosis and CHC without steatosis by statistically analysis (P< 0.05); there were significant defference in high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, apolipoprotein A, fasting plasma glucose between CHB with steatosis and CHC without steatosis by statistically analysis (P< 0.05); the Liver fibrosis markers:there were significant defference in serum Hyaluronic acid between CHB with steatosis and CHC without steatosis by statistically analysis (P< 0.05);histopathological features:there were significant defference in serum degree of inflammation and steatosis between CHB with steatosis and CHC without steatosis by statistically analysis (P< 0.05). Conclusion:The incidence in group of HCV infection with steatosis.was higher than group of HBV infection with steatosis.The development of HBV infection or HCV infection with steatosis was related to inbalance of lipid metabolism disorders.HCV infection with steatosis was more severer than HBV infection with steatosis for degree of inflammation and steatosis.
