Objective1.To measure the status of sub-health and job burnout of medical staff of municipal hospital in different demographic characteristics, working conditions and living habits.2.To analyze the correlation between sub-health and job burnout of medical staff, and to explore the relationship between sub-health and job burnout.3.To analyze the influencing factors acting on sub-health in physiology, mental, and social relationship, so as to provide basis for improving sub-health of medical staff.Methods1.To measure the status of sub-health and job burnout of medical staff by designed questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of three parts:personal information (demographic characteristics, working conditions and living habits), scale of sub-health and scale of job burnout. Cluster random sampling method was adopted to select respondents.2.The results of questionnaire were input into computer with Visual FoxPro 6.0 software. SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis. Independent-samples T test and ANOVA were adopted in single factors analysis, and partial correlation was adopted for analyzing the relationship between sub-health and job burnout. Linear Regression was adopted for analyzing the influencing factors of sub-health.Results1.The status of sub-health and job burnout:Majority of medical staff’s sub-health status was worse, which including female, aged in 25～years old and 35～years old, divorced and other marital status, income less than 2000, worked in pediatrics department, two or more night shift per week, worked more than 10 hours a day for over 4 days per week, diet disorder and never take physical exercise(P<0.05). Majority of medical staff’s job burnout status was worse, which including male, aged in 25～years old and 35～years old, doctors, married, income between 2000 and 3000, worked in pediatrics department, on regular payroll, two or more night shift per week, worked more than 10 hours a day for over 4 days per week, diet disorder, drunk hard and never take physical exercise (P<0.05)2.The correlation between sub-health and job burnout:Exhaustion, cynicism and professional efficacy were positive correlated with sub-health in physiology (P<0.05). Exhaustion, cynicism and professional efficacy were positive correlated with sub-health in mental (P<0.05). Exhaustion and cynicism were positive correlated with sub-health in social relationship (P<0.05).3.The influencing factors of sub-health:Exhaustion, cynicism and professional efficacy were important influencing factors of sub-heath. Gender, age, occupation, marital status, departments, days that worked over ten hours per week, diet regularity, and physical exercise was influencing factors of sub-heath in physiology. Gender, age, marital status, monthly income, departments, days that worked more than ten hours per week, diet regularity, physical exercise was the influencing factors of sub-health in mental. Days that worked more than ten hours per week, diet regularity, smoking condition and physical exercise was the influencing factors of sub-health in social relationship.ConclusionStatus of sub-health and job burnout of medical staff had obvious demographic characteristics, and working conditions and living habits also influenced sub-health and job burnout greatly. The higher the degree of job burnout was, the severer sub-health was. Divorced and other marital status, older age and more days that worked more than ten hours per week were risk factors on sub-health in physiological and mental. More days that worked more than ten hours per week also was risk factors of sub-health in social relationship. We should take measures to improve those medical staff’s sub-health status. More physical exercises and regular diet were protective factors on sub-health. Surgical department was protective factors on sub-health in physiological and mental. Male and doctors were protective factors on sub-health in physiological. Monthly income was protective factors on sub-health in mental. Less smoking was protective factors on sub-health in social relationship.
