Abstract

Image fusion is an important technique in muti-source image information field and computer vision science field. The research is based on muti-source image fusion of infrared and visible image sequences. The main work is as the followings:The background of image fusion and infrared technology is described firstly. The basic concept and the current researching status of the image fusion are depicted in this thesis. Method of evaluation is employed based on the performances of subjective and objective evaluation, and the effect of image fusion methods is elaborated.Despite the various ambient illuminant, the ability of human visual system to maintain the correct perception of scenes performs better than that of any currently available man-made systems. Therefore, it is very appealing to apply the physiological researches to guide image processing and to promote machine vision. For the false color visualization of image fusion, a physiological physical model of the“enhanced”neuron in the optic tectum of the rattlesnake that is derived from center-surround neurodynamics is built. Combining the passive membrane equation, a bionic image fusion method is presented. The computation demonstrates that the fused images display scenes in way of a natural color presentation. This paper proposes the YUV color transfer method depending on YUV space and Reinhard’s color transfer theory method. YUV space has easy enhancing the luminance of the final color fused image by replacing the luminance signal of the color reference image. The method are testified satisfied by using several image of infrared image and visible image, and the method is able to give color fused image a natural daytime color.A new object extraction algorithm based on spatio-temporal is proposed. The temporal segmentation is based on change of frame. Detection and analysis of moving objects in image sequences are the processes that separate moving objects from still background and analyze them using the spatial and temporal relativities of serial images. The research of second part is applied to the image sequences fusion, finally information of source images are enhanced.
