Abstract


Assembly line production is the main organizing method of mass production, which reduces cost and improves productivity with standardization and mass production, it has a very important significance in both production technology and history of production management.After the Second World War, the society has entered a new stage with increasingly diversified market demand. Correspondingly, this requires industrial production to develop in the direction of multi-variety with small lot, and the weaknesses of mass production are growing increasingly obvious. Lean Production has occurred on the request of such time and has been developed continuously. With the advantages of hand production and mass production, it becomes one kind of production method full of vitality under the new circumstances. Cell production is a module of lean production resulted from deepening understanding of lean production. It has been widely adopted by many companies of Japanese and European. Cell production has clear advantages of high flexibility, high elasticity and less investment compared to traditional convey line.A company has to produce a large variety of scanners in small lot,it’s well suited for cell production since the products are light in weight while small in size. Following steps of application of cell production, A company has successfully established cell production and related supporting system, also the transformation of convey line has made outstanding achievements.With the development of economy, cell production will get more popularization and application in the enterprise. Accordingly, cell production and related theory will be improved and developed continuously.
