Abstract

This study focuses on the complexity of modern Chinese functional category of "zhenshi"(真是).From the combination of synchronic and diachronic perspective,study the different categorie of "zhenshi"(真是)fully.In Chinese language development history,by the "zhen"(真)and "shi"(是) glue words and the Lexicalization and grammaticalization further is the study object.Strive to investigate descript and explain fully. Based on studying the large corpora,the article study meticulously the Synchronic level of"zhenshi"’s syntactic distribution and semantic, pragmatic functions firstly. Then comprehensively study the verb phrase of "zhenshi"(真是) into adverb by the process of the lexicalization, and further syntax of the whole process into a discourse marker. Outline the time of the evolution of "zhenshi"(真是).And reasonably explain the motives and mechanisms of the lexicalization and further grammaticalization of the word"zhenshi"(真是).This article adverb "zhenshi"(真是) is judged by the form of the predicate phrase from the virtual, has been produced in the Six Dynasties as a separate language units. Song, Yuan, "zhenshi"(真是)as a word occurs in the sentence, of which there is a special kind of usage, expressing the meaning of the dissatisfaction and complaining; to the Ming Dynasty, the adverb"zhenshi"(真是)using multiply;especially the Qing dynasty and later,"zhenshi"(真是)is widely used, and has been developed into a more complete functional word.
