Abstract

In this paper we make systematic research on the preparation and purification of CNTs , the preparation of carbon-matrix composite particles, performance characterization, its catalytic effect on the thermal decomposition of AP and function mechanism. And we get some innovative results.First, we use Benzene as carbon source from coking industrial, and ferrocene as catalyst precursor, to have prepared carbon nanotubes(CNTs) by the method of catalytic thermal decomposition. And the CNTs were purified by the mixed acid of nitric acid and sulphuric acid. The structure and morphology of CNTs which have been purified and not yet, were characterized by TEM, SEM, XRD, Raman, TG-DTA, BET, IR. The results indicated that when the stokehole reaction temperature was 1170℃ ,the decompose temperature of Ferrocene was 150℃,he volatilize temperature of Benzene was 50 ℃, hydric flow rate was 270ml/min, the concentration of thiophene was l%(volume) and the reaction time was 20 minutes, the CNTs with single-walled and multi-walled were prepared. The diameters of the single-walled CNTs are in the range of 0.08~1.15nm, and that of the multi-walled CNTs are in the range of 40~120nm. The specific surface area of purified CNTs increased, its tube-wall was glassy , and its surface bring a lot of oxygenic functions, which was useful for dispersion of CNTs in the water solutions.Second, through the method of solvent evaporation, the CNTs/HTPB composite particles were prepared. The content of polymers in composite particles was characterized by TG. And the catalytic performance of CNTs/HTPB composite particles on the thermal decomposition of AP was characterized by DTA. The results indicated that the CNTs/HTPB composite particles exhibit the better catalytic effect on the thermal decomposition of AP. And the peak temperature of high temperature decomposition of AP with CNTs/HTPB composite particles decreased 111.9℃. As compared to the single CNTs, the surface decomposition calories increase 277.68J/g.The CNTs/Cu and CNTs/Ni composite particles were prepared by the method of liquid phase oxidation-reduction. The CNTs/TMO,CNTs/Y2O3 composite particles were prepared by the methods of liquid phase oxidation-reduction, sol-gel, complex -precipitation, liquid phase coprecipitation respectively. The crystal structure, particle size, morphology and chemical composition of these composite particles were characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM , EDS, XPS, FUR. Meanwhile, the catalytic effect of composite particles on the thermal decomposition of AP was analyzed. The results
