Abstract


Posters are the printing materials posted in public places. Graphics have an important position in poster design. With the development of posters and the overall progressment of social, some designers put away the regular expressions in composing poster graphics, they constantly strive to explore based on the basic technique of expression, and finally form some individual performance practices. It is impossiable for us to study all the individual expression. The article studies this topic by the following four individual performance practices: symbolic expression skill, entity 3d expressional gimmick, dynamic gimmick and incomplete gimmick of poster graphics, which are typical and less comprehensively and deep studied by scholars.Using the study methods of iconology and semiotics, the artical first descrbiles the features of individual performance practices of poster graphics, including symbolic expression skill, entity 3d expressional gimmick, dynamic gimmick and incomplete gimmick. Then, througt these external forms, the author finds that there are some reasons and content for the designer to use these individual expressinoal skills which are intented , well designed and serviced for the theme of poster. At last, the artical pionts that the individual performance practices are a kind of break throughs and innovation based on the conventioal graphic gimmick of the posters, it is not temporarily formed, but through the long-time strenous efforts of desingers, is creature of the age. By the way, other conventionl gimmicks will not go to die and will present the situation of the coexistence of a variety of practices.Complying the developing trend of poster graphics, the individual expressional practices correspond with the modern design development direction and cater to public aesthetic requirements. Not only change the traditional design patterns, but also they stretch the connotation and meaning of graphic posters. They give the audience fresh visual effects, and lead the vision experience to a new area.
